英语征文比赛...火热进行中..
英语作文征文比赛一、活动宗旨
为了提高我院学生学习英语的能力，让同学们更好的了解英语国家文化，提高英语应用写作能力。超级英语俱乐部联同应用外国语系学习部将面向全院学生征文。
二、征文要求
征文类型：英语文章，体裁不限，300字左右。
征文主题：
1、围绕自己及身边发生的事也可记录在校园中发生的事；
2、可以讲述自己或者他人的故事；
3、对某事某物的看法；
征文要求：投稿作品须是原创作品，不得抄袭、冒充他人作品或从网络上下载。凡经发现以上事项的投稿者将取消其参赛资格。投稿者需报上详细资料，如姓名，英文名，系部，班级，宿舍以及联系电话。
参赛作品以A4纸手写版或者打印版交到负责人处。参赛作品可自附相关照片。
三、活动时间
即日起向全院学生征稿，截稿日期为2007年11月30日。

五、奖项设置
所有作品将由超级英语俱乐部与应用外国语系学习部做第一轮筛选，后交由指导老师外教Ed及其他外聘教师做最后筛选。最终我们将评出：
一等奖：1名， 奖金 + 证书
二等奖：2名， 奖金 + 证书
三等奖：3名， 奖金 + 证书
优秀奖：4名， 证书 对英语~~

Let me have a try, just to post it here.How does we waste our parents’ money
Why? You may wonder why I said we are wasting (or had wasted) our parents’ money? Obviously, not only money, but also our time.
This thought suddenly appeared in my mind, when I found that many basic knowledge were not enough for my 1st job, even they are quite simple which we’ve studied during high school or middle school. Why, didn’t we get the diploma? Sure, we’ve graduated from school, but the truth is most of us have never really wanted to study for mastering knowledge, but only for exam and diploma.
My 1st job was to be a technician in a factory, basic knowledge of physics and math were very useful in my work, such as to calculate the kinetic energy of moving object , calculate the radius of a arc by the coordinate of any 3 point on the arc, simply testing some of the electronic parameters of the electronic circuits etc. Meanwhile, I found that I’ve lost many of what I’ve once studied in school with high exam score, and I have to find out my schoolbooks to study them once again.
English was also useful for my 1st job, I need to read international standards and customer specifications, also I need to report the result of my works in written English. My score of English is very low in middle school and I gave up studying English after I entered high school. In the beginning, I was afraid of I could not be competent to the job. Fortunately, I found I can do the job better than my colleagues, due to actually my English level was not very bad but not satisfy my teacher and the examination paper only, also I found that my English could be much better if I didn’t give up study after middle school.
In that moment, I felt very sorry to my parents for I didn’t really master those basic knowledge and giving up study English after middle school. I’ve wasted their money and my life during the period I was studying in school!
In view of above experience, I found that not to waste your parents’ money, we must study for both getting the diploma and mastering knowledge.
Schooltime is now far away from me, I had no time for study but working. If the time could come back to the past, I would never waste money and time again…
